Malindi

Malindi is a town on Malindi Bay at the mouth of the Sabaki River, lying on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. It is 120 kilometres northeast of Mombasa. Tourism is the major industry in Malindi. The city is popular among tourists. Notable heritage sites include the Vasco da Gama Pillar, the Portuguese Chapel, the House of Columns and the Malindi Museum Heritage Complex.

Malindi has a domestic airport and is the highway between Mombasa and Lamu. Malindi is known for its Swahili-inspired architecture, laid-back atmosphere, fresh seafood, pristine beaches, and sunny weather. Malindi also has a Marine Park.
