Known for its red elephants, Tsavo is divided into two parks. Namely, Tsavo East National Park & Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo is one of the oldest national parks in Kenya which is located in the South Eastern part of the country. Tsavo West and Tsavo East are separated by the railway line & the highway. Tsavo consist of a rugged landscape which is made up of mountains as well as wooded grasslands in Tsavo West. Tsavo East consists of semiarid grasslands and savannah where wildlife species can be seen easily.
Tsavo has a special place in my heart. Its where the photography and safari bug bit me back in 2017 and I have never looked backed ever since! Even though Tsavo has a good number of big cats spotting a big cat is challenging but extremely gratifying when you finally spot one! Tsavo is also known for its huge elephants specially the super tuskers. For a true wild and rustic safari, Tsavo is definitely the place to visit!
